📍 Canmore & Kananaskis, Alberta  ·  Present day

Two retired CIA agents in their late 60s discover their neighbor’s Airbnb is an enemy operations base — and that North Korean, Russian, and Chinese agents are forty minutes from the G7 summit in Kananaskis, Alberta, with a plan to assassinate every world leader in attendance. The road east is closed. They go west — through Banff, up Sulphur Mountain, and off a cliff in paragliders. The tattoos are faded. The instincts are not.

About This Script

Damian and Gilda were once the most capable agents in the CIA — dirt-bike chases through forests, matching heart tattoos, the whole mythology. Thirty years later they’re retired in Canmore, Alberta, riding mountain bikes through Banff and arguing about bandwidth. When Damian notices the Airbnb next door consuming suspiciously encrypted data streams, Gilda tells him to leave it alone. He can’t. She knows he can’t. They’ve done this before.

Inside the Airbnb: surveillance equipment, encrypted communications, and detailed blueprints of the G7 summit venue at Kananaskis. North Korean, Chinese, and Russian agents. A plot to assassinate the world’s most powerful leaders — forty minutes from their front door. The main road east is closed by a rockslide. They improvise. They catch the last gondola up Sulphur Mountain, fight an enemy agent in a cable car over a thousand-foot drop, strap on paragliders, and jump off the mountain toward Kananaskis. Gilda is terrified of heights. She jumps anyway.

G7 is a full-throttle action comedy about two people who are absolutely too old for this and completely unwilling to admit it. The In-Laws meets True Lies — set against the most spectacular scenery in North America, with a moose, a bear, and a detonator.

The Story

Act 1 — Setup
Canmore, Alberta. Damian and Gilda, late 60s, retired CIA. He monitors air traffic controllers out of old habit. She watches reality TV. Life is peaceful until the neighbors’ bandwidth isn’t.
Act 2 — Confrontation
The Airbnb next door is an enemy operations base. North Korean, Chinese, and Russian agents are planning to assassinate the G7 leaders at Kananaskis. The road east is closed. They go west — through Banff, up Sulphur Mountain, into a gondola fight at 7,500 feet.
Act 3 — Climax
Disguised as event staff, they infiltrate the summit. Gilda takes down the snipers. Damian disarms the explosives. One detonator. One standoff. One very daring shot.
Act 4 — Resolution
They decline any further involvement and go home. The doorbell rings. A mysterious package. Coordinates. Gilda sighs: “Here we go again.”

The Characters

Damian
Retired CIA — The Planner
Creature of habit. Still monitoring air traffic controllers out of old instinct. Can’t leave it alone. Loves paragliding.
Gilda
Retired CIA — The Closer
Addicted to reality TV. Afraid of heights. First one off the mountain. The one who actually finishes things.

Theme

“We’ve still got it.” — and sometimes that’s enough.

Why It Sells

  • Older-protagonist action comedy is a proven commercial lane — Red, The In-Laws, True Lies
  • The Canadian Rockies / Banff / Kananaskis setting is visually spectacular and underused in Hollywood
  • G7 summit = built-in topical hook and international marketing appeal
  • Female co-lead with equal agency — Gilda is the closer, not the sidekick
